Corrections

This site names companies and quotes their contracts. When we get something wrong, we fix it in the open, with a date.

What to report

How to report it

Write to Madgett Law, LLC, IDS Center, 80 South 8th Street, Suite 1650, Minneapolis, MN 55402 or call 612-470-6529. Please tell us:

  1. the page and section, and the exact words or figure you believe are wrong;
  2. what you believe is correct; and
  3. the document or data that shows it — a link, a copy, or a date and version.

If you write on behalf of a named company, please say so and identify the document and version you believe applies.

This page is for errors on this site. It is not a way to ask for legal help. Please do not send us details of your own dispute with a company through this channel. If you want to talk to a lawyer, see Contact first, and read our note about confidential information on the Disclaimer page.

What we will do

  1. Acknowledge your report within five business days.
  2. Check it against the source. For each company contract in the report's dataset, we keep the text we captured, the capture date, and the digital fingerprint (SHA-256) recorded when we captured it; where a capture is partial, the report says so (§ 11.2). Court records, statutes and agency publications are cited to the source they came from. We compare what we published with that source, with the data file, and with anything you send.
  3. If we got it wrong, we correct it. The correction appears where the error was, with a dated note saying what it said and what it says now. It is also listed in the log below. The report's "Last updated" date changes. We do not quietly edit.
  4. If what we published is right, we tell you, and we tell you what source it rests on.
  5. If the company's document has changed since we captured it, we re-capture it. We then either update the text with the new capture date or add a dated note that the terms changed. What an earlier version said stays accurately described as what that version said.
  6. We aim to finish our review within 30 days of your report. If it will take longer, we will tell you why.

What we will not do

Terms change. Here is how we keep up.

Every contract quoted on this site carries the date we captured it. A captured document is a record of what the company published on that date, not a promise about what it says today. Before you rely on a contract quoted here, read the company's current version.

A company may post a new version of its terms before that version takes effect. When the report quotes a version like that, it identifies each version by the dates the company's own page gives it, and it counts only the terms in force on the capture date (report § 11.2).
